Projects, plans and fun!

James and I work unbelievably well together. Whether it’s laying gravel, helping him find his new found love of painting, ha! He still hates painting but humors me on the subject! We could be cooking and dancing in the kitchen or feeding horses and crashing into hay bales on the UTV (yes we do that too, whiskeys in hand) flying to Boston just for St Patty’s or driving 9!hours to get my dream horse, we just enjoy life together.

James and I are what people call “dreamers” we have plans and more plans and plans for our plans! Perhaps one day we will be able to sit back and cheers to all our dreams becoming reality together. Both of us have been this way our entire lives… this sorta ambition driven brain that believes we can conquer this puny planet in some way… and now together.

Between James and I we have 8 kids, yes 8! 9 horses, 8 kids, 7 dogs (well 6 now, James boy was struck by a car just before Easter) chickens, ducks, geese and if I get my way soon some goats… and a partridge in a pine tree! (Yeah Christmas tree farm for the grandkids is among our many plans) anyhow you get the idea…

Blending our families has been pretty easy thus far, as all our kids grew up around each other etc… we are definitely blessed to have 8 wonderful kiddos from age 11 upwards to 22, 6 handsome boys and 2 beautiful girls each holding their own unique personality. So far we only seem to have two that are full of piss and Vinegar like the two of us are! Ha! You know who you are!

With as many kids as we have and trying to get them all to one house is going to be the challenge. Making room redoing rooms to make room is a project in itself. James and I are always up for a new challenge, neither of us has the ability to back down from… well anything, really.

One day we up and decided to move the fish and game room from the shop back to the smaller garage room and turn the shop room back to a bedroom for someone. This will require some demo work as the garage is prob one of the oldest buildings on the property. (James has a ranch outside of town and I have a house in town near the kids schools) so we start planning…. and working…. together.

I never knew how much fun I could have working along side of another human, ha! Too many years of doing everything myself teaching my kids women can do everything a man can do. Yeah maybe Im a little bitter about the let downs of my past. It’s a new day it’s a new dawn and with James, IM FEELING FINE!!!!!
